Strange character behavior in bash

It seems that my system does have the right entries:

$ echo $TERM
rxvt-unicode-256color

$ ls -l /usr/share/terminfo/r/rxvt-unicode-256color -rw-r--r-- 1 root 
root 2226 Dec  4  2014 /usr/share/terminfo/r/rxvt-unicode-256color

This problem happens always in the localhost.
