Since you are so absolute - the window properties belong to the application,
if the WM sets some and relies on them this is absolutely a bug in the WM.

Now, this bug is quite common, especially with the hipper wm's around, but
the right workaround has been outlined in the archives, while nobody so
far has found time to implement it :)

Only on your buggy wm, it works just fine on the ones I use :)
