No flashes

I've tested on alternative terminals, and as far as I can tell the flashes
don't happen (specifically gnome-terminal).  It's slightly funny, since
I switched away from gnome-terminal specifically to get of flashes when
I changed workspaces using Xmonad, but urxvt seems to generate other incidental
flashes.
