Cannot type some characters with tabs activated

That also happens for me with rxvt-unicode-8.4-1. When having initial
tab, characters like ^ ~ ` not work.
When opening a new tab and opening a screen session within this most
time resolve issue either in the 2nd and 1st but not always.
