Launching programs repeatedly disables them

I'm not sure that it's the same issue, but I've had similar
problems with elinks and worked around them by compiling gpm
support out. Could you check if your problem is connected
with mouse handling by turning it off in vim (:set mouse=)
and in other misbehaving programs?
