enabling standard server-side-compositing with "xcompmgr -s" is enough to
add drop shadow. its not very usable, but xcompmgr is just a hack anyways,
so i guess future composite managers can do better (some people say
xcomposite is a hack and will be replaced by xgl+yet-to-be-defined-hacks),
but who knows.
