url recognition

Hey guys,
I've used urxvt for some time now and have to say it's great - best
terminal I know of 8).
Now, about half of my day is spent over putty (from work into my
server at home). I recently came across "nutty" which was a one time
hack to allow the terminal to recognize URLs (and make them
clickable). I immediately thought "I want this on my urxvt!"
I'm just curious if it would be a possible feature request. If I get
bored enough, I'd dig in a patch it myself, but I have a feeling
someone who knows the code well could do it in a few minutes.... it
wouldn't be that bad to grab the $BROWSER variable and call that...
though I'm not sure how it would behave in the case of, say, a URL in
vim, with BROWSER set to, say, w3m... where would it get executed...
if the same terminal, would vim then die?
But those are minor implementation details...
Is anyone up to this? Feel free to tell me I'm a fool for asking for this 8)
Thanks,
Aaron
