Hi, There are many open source projection reside in github.com(including mirror project), such as apache , google, facebook. The main point is  more conveniently access and disscuss, which is our focus rather than it's the worst rating, although it's has flaws. That's my opinion pass by your discussion.

By whom? The evaluation of the FSF for example gave github the worst rating,
an F.
