libev-4.22 deployment gziped twice

Dear libev maintainers

It seems to me that the libev-4.22 deployment has been gziped twice instead of only once.

http://dist.schmorp.de/libev/libev-4.22.tar.gz

Combined with the file extension this leads to problems with Yocto (bitbake automatically extracts according the file extension). 

Has the double gzip-envelope happened on purpose?
