Timeout event resolution

Hi,

I just tested with the correct repeat value.
On both kernels: 2.6.9 and 3.0.0 100ms was fine.
Just to test, I even set it to 1ms and they also did well.
Of course there is a variation +0.2ms up to +0.8m that's normal for a 
non real-time system.
These values were greatly improved changing the scheduler priorities on 
Linux.

If we consider I'm using a Virtual Machine, these values are absolutely 
great.
